Cops Busted
Cops Busted is not about bashing the Police, but that few bad apples. For the most part, most Police Officers are respectable, but in current years I am not happy with the trend and course Law Enforcement has taken. Did they forget they are Public Servants - To SERVE and PROTECT! Cops are not above the law, nor are they better than other people.
View all articles by Cops BustedThe video shows Officer Salvatore Rivieri approach the kids at the Inner Harbor of Baltimore, the area where they apparently were skateboarding. The kids tell Officer Rivieri they didn't know they couldn't skateboard there.
"You back-talk me, I'm not your father," Rivieri says. "You hear me? I'm not your father. You give that attitude to your father. You give it to me, I'll smack you upside the head. Shut your mouth, I'm talking." (Is it illegal to talk back to a Cop? - Isn't ASSAULT defined as a threat of violence caused by an immediate show of force?)
Salvatore Rivieri was suspended until an internal investigation is complete, Sterling Clifford, a spokesman for the Baltimore Police Department, told FOX News. "Obviously there is behavior there that raised concerns,” Clifford said. “It’s not behavior that’s acceptable and encouraged within the police department.
In the video, after Salvatore Rivieri pushes the kid on the ground, he takes his skateboard and puts it in his patrol vehicle.
When he
"Obviously your parents don't put a foot in your butt quite enough because you don't understand the meaning of respect," Rivieri says. "First of all, you better learn how to speak. I'm not 'man,' I'm not 'dude.' I am Officer Rivieri. The sooner you learn that, the longer you're going to live in this world. Because you go around doing this kind of stuff, somebody's going to kill you." (And again is this not an "Assault", I would consider this another threat!)
The kid repeatedly tells Officer Rivieri that he "didn't do anything," saying he wants to call his mom.
Once again here is a Cop, Police Officer violating civilian rights, and pushing his own personal agenda instead of the laws. This incident could have been handled in a much more professional and beneficial way to ensure the cooperation of these kids. Why could he not have told the kids that they could not skate there, informed as to why and the damage the skateboards cause, then called the kids' parents?
Leave us your comments and let us know what you think about Officer Salvatore Rivieri and his actions with these skateboard kids.

actually it looked like assault to me. the cop has trouble giving respect to others. Isnt the cop acting disorderly?
Hes a psycho. Its obvious hes a bully and was in a bad mood when he approached these kids. Does anyone with common sense not see that this cop is harassing? At what point did he have to yell or touch a kid? When can anyone push anyone without it being considered assault? Cops dont have the right to hit people.
This is disgusting behavior by a pig cop.

Absolutely disgusted with this officers behavior. This kid will resent police for the rest of his life thanks to this hothead. He is obviously a very angry man taking out his frustrations on this poor kid

Very disappointing to see this video. Officer Rivieri obviously learned how to bully by being bullied. Sad to say.

the cop was WAY out of line and crossed the line with two un provoked physical assaults. As a combat veteran and combat disabled War vet, i consult that this man's badge not only should be taken, but was taken, however, he should have also been charged with at least 2 accounts of assault, and hence should never, ever, EVER be able to touch a fire arm or even kitchen knife for that matter, for the rest of his thick headed, short lunged, remaining years on our planet. Does he have the right to a defense? Not no, BUT HE|| NO he doesnt deserve the right to defend himself either, he's a fricken adult who has problems and indirectly vents his problems by way of the most spineless act of all; child assault.

This doughnut munching slob as a real anger problem! These are only young boys, why the hard ass routine? There's no way he'd get away treating an adult like that! Can you say abuse of authority? Where does the cop get off taking the kids board? As far as I know you have to commit a violation or a crime in order to have your property confiscated. This clown needs to walk a beat, and lose that roll around his middle.
Respect earns respect, when none is given why should any be returned? I wonder how these kids will react to cops they encounter from now on?
