Cops Busted
Cops Busted is not about bashing the Police, but that few bad apples. For the most part, most Police Officers are respectable, but in current years I am not happy with the trend and course Law Enforcement has taken. Did they forget they are Public Servants - To SERVE and PROTECT! Cops are not above the law, nor are they better than other people.
View all articles by Cops BustedTexas cops performed a search warrant on a suspected Marijuana Grow House, but how did they get the search warrant? ILLEGALLY!
This is pretty much what happened. Barry Cooper, from KopBusters, set-up a fake marijuana grow house with grow lights, and other equipment normally used in a these forms of operations. Shortly after an anonymous person walked into the Odessa Police Department leaving an anonymous tip of the grow house.
Anywhere else in this country this is not enough evidence for a search warrant! But maybe in Odessa it is. Obviously there was no other evidence, no drug paraphenelia in the trash, no deals done out of the house, no any other evidence. So how did the Odessa Police Department get a search warrant for this property?

Can you imagine the faces on these Cops?

My Opinion: KopBusters and Barry Cooper are doing the nation a favor, we need more people like him to stand up and show Police Corruption and how they Violate our rights.
Amendment 4 of the US Constitution protects us from Warrantless searches.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
So what was the probable cause for the search warrant? Must have been falsified if all they had was a anonymous tip, and an anonymous tip is not enough for a search warrant. No one person's rights can be violated because an anonymous tip!
