Cops Busted
Cops Busted is not about bashing the Police, but that few bad apples. For the most part, most Police Officers are respectable, but in current years I am not happy with the trend and course Law Enforcement has taken. Did they forget they are Public Servants - To SERVE and PROTECT! Cops are not above the law, nor are they better than other people.

San Francisco Police released a video of an officer involved shooting that occurred Tuesday morning.

The video, shot by a passerby using a phone cam, show what happened during an altercation between police and a wheelchair-bound man.

The San Francisco Police reportedly responded to 1380 Howard Street – the San Francisco Department of Health center - around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday morning for a man that was holding a knife and vandalizing city vehicles.

When police confronted the man and tried to subdue him, the man stabbed an officer in the left shoulder, according to Police Chief George Gascón. Even though the suspect was in a wheelchair, he was mobile, according to Gascon.

This video shows police response moments after the stabbing. The suspect, in the wheelchair, backs away as police approach him.

Police use pepper spray and a beanbag gun on the suspect, but both fail, according to Gascon. The suspect then throws the knife and officers fire on the man, hitting him in the groin.

In my Opinion, I agree with the man in the Video who states "That is unnecessary". I know there will be a thousand comments from those few "idiot" police officers (the few rotten apples) who will say; He stabbed an office - he deserved it!

No, he did not deserve it. We live in America where we have courts who are the ones responsible for dealing with guilt and penalty, not you!

The least amount of force would have been; Pepper Spray or a Bean Bag round aimed at the hand holding the knife. I don't agree or believe in Tasers, I think they are excessive force, and cruel and unusual punishment; further being that most people in wheelchairs have some medical condition, the laser could have killed him, like it has killed many others.

Going back to the officer who was stabbed - currently there is not much more information than he is in stable condition. We don't really know the extent of his/her injuries. What we do know, is that this man in a wheelchair was shot at with a bullet (deadly force) after he dropped his knife, shot by a person who is well aware of the dangers and capabilities of discharging that weapon. If the average john doe shot a dog in this manner, he would be arrested for animal abuse, but being that it was an officer who shot the man after he dropped the knife, I am sure the police department will defend his actions.

I will repeat this again!!!
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
Thomas Jefferson
This government and it's law enforcement branches have no respect for the people, until they understand who they work for and police officers are prosecuted for their poor judgment calls we will be in constant fear and not live in peace or have liberty!
