Cops Busted
Cops Busted is not about bashing the Police, but that few bad apples. For the most part, most Police Officers are respectable, but in current years I am not happy with the trend and course Law Enforcement has taken. Did they forget they are Public Servants - To SERVE and PROTECT! Cops are not above the law, nor are they better than other people.

Deputy Sgt. Oddie Tribble beats prisoner breaking leg
Deputy Sgt. Oddie Tribble from the Kershaw County Sheriff's department was fired for an incident that took place on August 5, where surveillance video shows him hitting inmate Charles Shelly 27 times with a baton breaking Shelley's leg, authorities said on Monday.

According to reports, Charles Shelley was arrested by Deputy Sergeant Oddie Tribble on charges of open container, possession of marijuana (is that still illegal?), driving with a suspended license, and giving false information to police. None of these charges are violent in nature.

Deputy Sgt Oddie Tribble told his supervisors that Charles Shelley threatened him and his family's lives on the ride to the jail. He then reported Shelley jerked away from him twice, before he used force to get control of the inmate.

So basically, this Kershaw County deputy thought it was ok to violate this non-violent offender's right, and beat him with a 'deadly weapon' causing serious injuries just because a verbal assault from a handcuffed inmate? Sound like this Kershaw County deputy should not just be fired, but also face criminal charges for assault with a deadly weapon which resulted in permanent injuries to the victim. We might think a broken leg is nothing big, but yes it is. It's a permanent disfigurement.

Ex-Deputy Oddie Tribble, you should go to jail for atleast 2 years, be labeled a convicted felon and pay restitution. As for the other deputies who were watching this felony in progress should also be fired and charged with failure to act! You as law enforcement officers have a civil duty to protect the public, and should have stopped the violent assault brought on by Oddie Tribble on Charles Shelly.

Charles, enjoy the earning from your million dollar lawsuit! I hope you fix your habitual driving record, stop drinking and driving (that does kill people), and....well.... if you move to California, you could enjoy the legal marijuana for your injuries!

Here is a the video from of this Kershaw County Sheriff beating a handcuffed inmate:

I am sure many of you have your comments about this, and you are able to post them below. I really don't care what you say, law enforcement has to have thick skin, and some verbal assault should never cause this kind of reaction from a trained professional! Not just does this violent assault bring discredit upon the Kershaw County Deputy but upon his fellow officers, and will now cost tax payers millions of dollars. The ones who stood by and watched this, should all be fired, and possible also charged criminally. These kind of actions cannot continue to happen!
