Cops Busted is not about bashing the Police, but that few bad apples. For the most part, most Police Officers are respectable, but in current years I am not happy with the trend and course Law Enforcement has taken. Did they forget they are Public Servants - To SERVE and PROTECT! Cops are not above the law, nor are they better than other people.

Verbal or Citation This Police Officer or Trooper stopped a German tourist and gave them a verbal reprimand for the excessive speeding.
Apparently the German couple was speeding 98mph in a 70mph zone. As mush as I would have liked to have seen them receive a speeding ticket, I believe the Officer did the right thing; gave them a verbal reprimand and told them to go slow down. I know he sounds a little corny, but I think this officer did what was right for the situation. The German couple do not have an American Driver license, might never return to the US, and writing a ticket on the German license is like writing a citation
Officer, Job well done. Thanks for not wasting tax payer money, yet letting them know that they were wrong and needed to slow down. I would have liked to have seen you mention that they could be arrested for reckless driving, but GREAT WORK!

It's true, there was nothing this officer could have done. If he would have written them a citation, the state would have issued them a license number (just for records), but nothing would have happened to this German couple. He would have wasted his time and tax money on nothing. Best thing is to warn them, and threaten them that they could be arrested and miss their flight, along with having to post bond, but that is it. Unfortunately the laws don't have any other way to cover this situation.
It was great to see something positive on this "cops busted" website!

This macho, disrespectful arrogant bully has no business being a police officer. He's a disgrace to his profession and his country.
